The Membership Committee is responsible for reviewing and acting on membership applications in accordance with the CWA Local 9588 By-Laws, as well as the Constitution and policies of the Communications Workers of America. The committee ensures that all applications are handled fairly, consistently, and in compliance with established union rules.

By reviewing applications, the committee helps maintain the integrity of the Local’s membership and ensures that eligibility requirements are properly applied. This process supports transparency, accountability, and equal treatment for all applicants seeking membership in the Local.

Through this work, the Membership Committee plays a key role in strengthening the union by upholding its governing documents and ensuring that membership decisions align with the values, standards, and policies of the Union.
