The Organizing Committee works in accordance with the CWA Local 9588 By-Laws and the CWA Constitution to assist the Local’s Executive Officers and Stewards in organizing efforts within the Local’s jurisdiction. The committee supports initiatives that strengthen the union’s presence and expand collective representation.

This includes helping identify organizing opportunities, engaging with workers, supporting outreach efforts, and assisting with campaigns to organize new members or bargaining units. The committee works collaboratively with Local leadership to ensure organizing efforts are strategic, member-driven, and aligned with union policies.

Through education, outreach, and member engagement, the Organizing Committee plays a critical role in building union power, growing membership, and supporting the long-term strength and sustainability of CWA Local 9588.
