San Bernardino City USD Reopener MOU

CWA Local 9588 and SBCUSD reached a tentative reopener agreement that updates wages, clarifies pay for partial and extended workdays, and expands access to health benefits for eligible substitutes. The agreement confirms improved daily rates for day-to-day, long-term, and resident guest teachers, establishes clearer rules for half-day versus full-day pay, and provides additional compensation for approved extra hours worked beyond a regular assignment. The reopener also includes provisions related to health benefits eligibility and continued joint discussions on benefit options. All other contract terms remain unchanged, with the agreement effective July 1, 2025.
