CWA Local 9588 and SBCUSD have reached a tentative reopener agreement that updates wages, clarifies pay for partial and extended workdays, and expands access to health benefits for eligible substitutes. The agreement takes effect July 1, 2025, with all other contract terms remaining unchanged.

CWA Representatives will be meeting with the San Bernardino City Unified School District administrators to negotiate a reopener on January 9, 2026. Updates will come as soon as we can share.
