The By-Laws Committee is responsible for reviewing proposed changes to the Local’s by-laws on a semiannual basis. This ensures that the governing rules of CWA Local 9588 remain current, effective, and aligned with the needs of the membership.

The committee carefully examines proposed amendments to ensure they are clear, consistent, and in compliance with union policies and applicable regulations. When appropriate, the committee may suggest revisions or clarifications to improve the language and intent of proposed changes.

After review, the committee presents its recommendations to the membership, supporting transparency, informed decision-making, and strong democratic governance within the Local.
