Elections Committee
The Elections Committee is responsible for conducting all nominations, elections, and referendums of CWA Local 9588 in accordance with the Local’s By-Laws and the CWA Constitution. The committee ensures that all electoral processes are carried out fairly, transparently, and in a manner that upholds the democratic principles of the union.
This includes overseeing nomination procedures, ballot preparation, voting methods, vote counting, and the certification of results. The committee works to ensure that all eligible members have a fair opportunity to participate and that election rules are applied consistently and impartially.
By enforcing the standards set forth in the Local By-Laws and the CWA Constitution, the Elections Committee helps maintain the integrity of the union’s democratic process, protects member rights, and ensures confidence in the outcomes of all Local elections and referendums.
