The Education Committee assists in developing the Local’s educational programs in accordance with the CWA Local 9588 By-Laws and the CWA Constitution. The committee works to ensure that educational efforts support member knowledge, leadership development, and active participation in the union.

In coordination with the Local’s Executive Officers, the committee is responsible for carrying out and supporting the Union’s educational programs. This includes helping organize trainings, workshops, and informational sessions related to labor rights, contracts, workplace issues, and union structure.

By supporting consistent, accessible, and meaningful education, the Education Committee strengthens member engagement, builds leadership capacity, and helps ensure that members are informed and empowered to participate fully in the life of the Local.
